Training Course on Zoo animals

Giza Zoo has welcomed fifteen veterinarians from Directorate of Veterinary Medicine in Giza to attend a training course for zoo animals in Conservation and Education Center for five days in the period from December 22 to 26, 2013 from nine in the morning until two in the afternoon hosted by Prof. Dr. / Usama Seliem, Chairman of the General Authority for Veterinary Services and Dr. Fatma Tammam, Undersecretary of State for Zoos and Wildlife.

The training session will be concentrated on the following topics : -
• The most important diseases of reptiles and methods of treatment and prevention.
• The Quarantine procedures for different animals.
• Most exotic diseases of wild animals.
• The care and treatment of diseases of ornamental fish.
• The care and treatment of diseases of pet birds (the Canary and peacock) .
